Pack This for Your Bali Trip to Ensure an Awesome Time
All I remembered was that I had a meeting and it was obviously not very eventful because I just remember heading back on a plane to Los Angeles. This was a trip to Denver, CO, the mile-high city.
Believe it or not too many travel visitors have the same experience. This is especially true if you travel extensively. I’m talking about at least three-fourths of every month. There are many professional business travelers who travel so much that they are only home may be one month out of the year. Now, I’m not knocking business travel. It’s definitely indispensable, and it can be a great path to a rewarding career.
However, there’s definitely a lot lost in translation when you are simply traveling as a matter of formality. You’re not there to check out the site. You’re not there to find out something new. You’re there for a specific purpose and a specific outcome to deal with specific people at a specific time and at a specific place.
That’s a lot of specificity and, unfortunately, it really sucks out the marrow or the life force of substantive travel. If you are going to be spending your hard-earned dollars or euros to travel to Bali, Indonesia, let me clue you in on a secret. If you want to have a truly awesome time, pack a sense of wonder. That’s all you need.
You don’t have to pack extra money. You don’t have to bring an extra-fancy video-recording camera. You don’t have to pack an amazing surfboard. You just have to pack a sense of wonder.
The great thing about this is that it’s absolutely free. Everybody can have a sense of wonder. Everybody can take a step back from all their preconceptions and their old roles, responsibilities, duties and obligations, and just look at their upcoming trip to Bali, Indonesia with afresh set of eyes.
Once you let go of your preconceptions, you would be surprised as to how awesome your trip would be because you’re essentially born again. Seriously. It’s as if you are looking at this experience from a completely fresh perspective. You get this virgin vision of where you will be going.
Unfortunately, this is easier said than done because as we transition from children to adults, one of the first things we lose as we become adults is our sense of wonder. If you need an example of this, remember when you were four years old and you can’t wait until Christmas? That’s the sense of wonder you have. You’re curious about it. This sense of anticipation makes Christmas even more enjoyable.
Well, you need to recapture some of that for your upcoming Bali trip if you really want to maximize the amount of fun and enjoyment you would have. A little sense of wonder can definitely go a long way.
